Chan Wong, Pastor
Pastor Chan was born and raised in Singapore. He worked as an accountant in Australia before answering the call to full time ministry. Pastor Chan received his first theological degree in Hong Kong and a subsequent degree at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He served as a pastor and seminary professor in Singapore and as a pastor in Bakersfield, California before coming to HOC5 in 2003. He and his wife, Edie, have 2 adult children, a daughter living in the Silicon Valley and a son in Egypt. His interests include reading and traveling around the world.
Dean Yuan, Pastor
A native of Cupertino, Dean accepted Christ as a child at the Home of Christ Church. He majored in religious studies at U.C. Davis, where he met his future wife Sumiko while he was leading worship and she was playing the keyboard. Dean worked for a year in the Silicon Valley before moving to Portland Oregon where he received his M.Div from Multnomah Biblical Seminary. Dean started ministry at the 5th Home of Christ in September of 2004. Dean and Sumiko have two little girls, Kaia and Mika. His interests include fly-fishing, cycling, tinkering, breaking things that were formerly not broken in the name of fixing them, and cooking. He makes a mean braised short ribs.
Yuji Ogura, Pastor
Yuji Ogura is the Youth Minister here at the Home of Christ Church in Cupertino. He started serving in January of 2010 and primarily leads the fellowship for the youth that meets on Saturday Nights. He is a native of Los Angeles, California where he grew up, went to Biola University, and graduated from Talbot School of Theology with a M.Div. His passion in life is preaching, teaching, and helping youth find a real and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Director, Children Ministry
Stacy brings an extensive background in children and families as our Director of Children’s Ministry. She served in churches in Los Altos and San Jose for 15 years before joining us here at Home of Christ.
Born and raised in Seattle, as one of seven children, her passion is to see kids make a meaningful connection to Jesus. She enjoys hiking and any beach activity with her family. She is married to Tim and mother of two daughters Mackenzie and Alix. Stacy loves that God uses imperfect people to tell His story to the world.
