從虛偽邁向真實 (卓爾君牧師)
在所有的負面形容詞中，「虛偽」可能是其中最令人無法承受的批評，如果我們被別人這麼批評，一定會想盡辦法來為自己辯護，雖然我們對虛偽這個詞如此深惡痛絕，但我們常常是虛偽的，即使是基督徒也不例外。虛偽也是攔阻我們向世界發光最大的障礙。什麼是虛偽呢？虛偽就是一個人外在的行為與內在的信念相反，外面所宣揚的是那樣，但裡面卻不是這樣相信。法利賽人試圖在每一種可能犯罪的情況制定一條規則，而不是讓上帝來改正他們犯罪的本性。他們把神的道當作生命的手銬，而不是生命的依靠。
當我們自覺比別人尊貴的時候，就是虛偽生命的開始。我們要反省行為背後的動機，追求榮譽感沒有錯，但若動機像是法利賽人為了顯示自己優於其他人，那就不對了。在教會中的服事也要審視動機。放下完美主義，專心仰望神。

- 說話的時候，有一個法利賽人請耶穌同他吃飯，耶穌就進去坐席。
- 這法利賽人看見耶穌飯前不洗手便詫異。
- 主對他說：「如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裡面卻滿了勒索和邪惡。
- 無知的人哪，造外面的，不也造裡面嗎？
- 只要把裡面的施捨給人，凡物於你們就都潔淨了。
- 「你們法利賽人有禍了！因為你們將薄荷、芸香並各樣菜蔬獻上十分之一，那公義和愛神的事反倒不行了。這原是你們當行的，那也是不可不行的。

- When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table.
- But the Pharisee was surprised when he noticed that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.
- Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
- You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?
- But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.
- “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
