About the Instructor:
Phil Ting’s journey in chess began when he was just 7 years old, and it has been a significant part of his life ever since. He has facilitated numerous chess merit badge workshops for Boy Scout troops, sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge. Phil graduated from Monta Vista High School and UC San Diego, and currently works as a software engineer.
