孕育生命的禮物 (卓爾君牧師)
今天是母親節，願神祝福每一位辛苦的母親，祝妳們母親節快樂！神創造母親，讓她們成為一份孕育生命的禮物，今天我們要談的是一個孩子信仰成長的故事。保羅在提摩太後書中稱呼提摩太為「親愛的兒子」，在提摩太信心軟弱的時候給他支持。保羅發現神用兩位母親的來影響提摩太的信仰。基督徒的母親有比一般的母親更榮耀的職分，當孩子生下來，基督徒母親的職分就是把基督信仰帶進孩子的生命當中。提摩太的信心就是藉著他的母親妮基和外祖母羅以而來的。
母親們，永遠不要質疑神賦予你的神聖角色，永遠不要輕看神按立你成為孩子信仰守望者的尊貴身份，要按照神的方式照顧和養育你的孩子，當你懷疑自己所做的是否有效之時，提醒自己，果實很快就會到來。
提摩太後書1:1-7 (和合本)
- 奉 神旨意，照著在基督耶穌裡生命的應許，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅，
- 寫信給我親愛的兒子提摩太：願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父 神和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！
- 我感謝 神，就是我接續祖先用清潔的良心所事奉的 神。祈禱的時候，不住地想念你，
- 記念你的眼淚，晝夜切切地想要見你，好叫我滿心快樂。
- 想到你心裡無偽之信，這信是先在你外祖母羅以和你母親友妮基心裡的，我深信也在你的心裡。
- 為此我提醒你，使你將 神藉我按手所給你的恩賜，再如火挑旺起來。
- 因為 神賜給我們不是膽怯的心，乃是剛強、仁愛、謹守的心。

- To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
- I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.
- Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.
- I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
- For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
- For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
